REMOVAL

REMOVAL OF THE GEAR ASSEMBLY

The rings supporting the second, third and fourth

gears are fitted tightened. These shall be systemati-

cally replaced during refitting.

Remove:

- the bearing,

- the setting washer,

- the fourth gear sprocket

- the third-fourth gear selector rod assembly,

- the "gear supporting ring, hub and third gear sproc-

ket" assembly using an extractor and a press and

lifting it from underneath the claw teeth of the third

gear sprocket (1) .

Remove the "gear supporting ring, first and second

gear sprockets - hub - selector rod" assembly using

an extractor and a press and lifting it from under-

neath the first gear sprocket (2) .

REFITTING

REFITTING THE GEAR ASSEMBLY

When reassembling, use a hot plate set at 150˚C .
