JAX, and JA3 – JRX, and JR5 – JHX

I - ADJUSTMENT OF THE PRE-TENSION OF THE

TAPERED BEARINGS OF THE OUTPUT SHAFT

Only put the output shaft in the clutch housing to-

gether with its bearings and the pretensioning

washer of the (Bvi. 1161) 1.60 mm in size (large

outer diameter

Position the mechanism housing.

Position and tighten to torque the gearbox bell

housing bolts ( 25 Nm )

Fit:

- the backplate (Bvi. 1527) (1) .

- the bolt (2) .

Fit the backplate of tool (Bvi. 1161) secured with two

bolts and fit a dial gauge (3) .

Adjustment:

- Rotate the output shaft several times to fit the bea-

rings.

- Set the dial gauge to zero.

DTI gauge and 0.6

and 1.6 standard

wrench.

Bvi. 1527 JHX

Plate for adjusting

clearance of input and

output shafts.

Note:

This adjustment only needs to be carried out

when replacing the housings or output shaft.
